Amazon Tarot- Best selling Tarot Decks, fast, reliable shipping and inexpensive prices

During the time of a global pandemic one major issue I have had, granted I understand this is a generalized statement, but shipping overall has been a NIGHTMARE! Some tarot decks I have ordered fortunately I have had no issues with but most it seems make me want to pull my hair out. As someone with a beautiful blend of OCD and anxiety when I order a deck I hold onto every tracking email constantly watching it’s every move on a daily basis. It’s not until my package arrives I feel it’s safe to delete the email and move on with my life. These packages/orders that are taking one, two, three months or a year to make it to me are giving me more grey hairs than I already have or need!

One beautiful thing is I have an experienced, trusting relationship built with Amazon. Sure, an occasional issue may happen but for the most part I receive anything I order in a very timely manner, and the few times I have been a Prime member it’s rather nice getting my package the next day! With this in mind, curiosity got the best of me and I wondered what were some of the best selling tarot decks on Amazon?

Now this blog was a little trickier than I thought it was going to be. I assumed I could just search ‘best selling tarot decks’ and that be the end of it. You and I both know life is rarely that easy. Though Amazon does have a banner above the image stating “best seller” I became wary of certain decks branded as such when they also had “sponsored post.” So yea….I’m sure it’s a best seller when your advertising it to everyone lol. It’s for these reasons that I had to come up with some rules/guidelines around why I chose the decks I’ll mention:

  • Each deck has over 1,000 reviews
  • The deck is rated at 4-5 stars
  • I chose the first 7 decks that met this criteria because I don’t want this blog to run on forever, lol

*Disclaimer: Each of the tarot decks will have an Amazon link, if you care to read more, see more or purchase the deck. This is an affiliate link so at no additional charge to you this does support me and the page. So thank you!

Light Seer’s Tarot

1,249 reviews, 4.4 star rating

The Light Seer’s Tarot is a deck I have an certainly treasure! This particular deck has made it’s way into my top 5 favorite tarot decks to use regularly!

I have done a full review of this deck feel free to check out my page if you would like to know all the details or see more of the cards!

Overall, the artwork is beautiful and the overall quality of the deck is great especially for it’s relatively inexpensive price of around $20 USD. To me, this deck is the kind therapist. One that is patient, listens and gives insightful feedback.

Ethereal Visions Tarot

1,276 ratings, 4.9 stars

This is another favorite tarot deck of mine created by Matt Hughes. If you like bling then you’ll love this deck as gold foil inlays are throughout the cards! Giving them a different kind of feel for me; brighter, happier, innocent.

Matt Hughes artistry is really unique in the Ethereal Visions based in the RWS system with a little bit of a twist. The characters somehow seem more alive, more expressive, like you can FEEL what the characters in the cards are feeling!

Modern Witch Tarot

1,072 ratings, 4.8 stars

This tarot deck created by Lisa Sterle is an all female deck that is inclusive with race, body types and sexuality. It’s a hot deck that has hit the market within the past year that readers that are drawn to it’s imagery are certainly enjoying! For around $22 USD the reader gets a great deal considering the higher quality box, book and cards!

This is another tarot deck I have done a full review on, so if you would like to read or see more feel free to check it out!

the Wild Unknown Tarot

5,090 reviews, 4.7 stars

The Wild Unknown Tarot created by Kim Krans is a cult classic! This easily by far is the most popular tarot deck in the world! Personally, I don’t like it at all, BUT that does not take away from all the amazing things about the deck!

I did a full review on this deck as well giving both sides of the coin when it comes to the good, the bad and the ugly about the deck! I’ll say this… if your called to this deck, like any deck, then get it! It’s calling to you for a reason! Beginners beware it’s more complicated than it appears and marketed as a great beginner deck and sold everywhere in the world gives readers easier access to getting the deck….you may just not get it. Capish ?

the Rider Tarot Deck

4,735 ratings, 4.7 stars

The Rider Tarot Deck is like the OG “must-have” deck! I remember as a beginner reader this was like the LAST deck I ever wanted (with traditional RWS imagery) and odly enough as a more experienced reader it’s the classic imagery I appreciate the most!

I think that for beginner readers that are looking for a good deck to use and perhaps do not want to invest a lot of money in something they are not sure about….this is the perfect deck! It’s a good quality deck overall with the classic imagery easier for learning and above all…. with a price tag of around $13 USD I think it’s an excellent deck to get your toes wet!

Everyday mini Tarot Deck

1,779 ratings, 4.7 stars

Now THIS is an excellent little deck! I’ve done a full review of this deck too!

If readers want to stick within the RWS system, very close to classic imagery but it’s own spin and REALLY step up the quality for an inexpensive price this deck is it! For less than $10 USD you get a magentic box, matte cards with gold gilded edging and a colored guidebook! Plus the smaller size makes it perfect for on-the-go

Mystic Mondays Tarot

1,503 ratings, 4.7 stars

I honestly don’t know too much about this deck! What I DO remember of it is a reeeeeeeeaaaaaaaally negative experience a content creator had with this deck’s creator when it was first coming out in the world! It’s been a few years and the deck has gone mass market so the distribution centers are ensuring the quality readers get (which is a great thing)!

Mystic Mondays is sold at most any US based book store and seems to be rather popular for those that are drawn to it’s imagery. For less than $16 USD I suppose it’s not a bad deal, or a big investment if you don’t happen to connect with it! Do you have this deck? If so comment down below as I would like to know more about it…

the Universal Waite Tarot Deck

1,044 ratings, 4.6 stars

Another CLASSIC RWS deck created by US Games System is the Universal Waite Tarot Deck! A bit of a step-up in quality in comparison with the Rider Tarot and for only $3 more! Traditional sized cards with original imagery and beautiful blue backings to the cards. If readers, new or novices, are looking for a good traditional deck this is certainly one you need to try!

Do you have or have you worked with any of these decks? What are your thoughts and opinions? Does Amazon rating have the top 7 decks right? If not what would you change on this list and why? Comment down below and share with the rest of the Squirrel Nest so we can learn and grow together!

  1. Thanks for your post. I just spotted it over at Dyanna’s blog. Only yesterday I was teasing myself with the idea of buying the Light Seer’s as a treat (anything that is not basic living expenses is a special treat now that I had to leave my job). I love the images, but I have “low vision” and was afraid the cards would be too small for me to see everything. I bought one gorgeous deck a few years ago, and that was such a problem that I couldn’t use it at all. I love a lot of detail, but I have to be able to see it. Do you have any comment about that aspect?
    Hugs on the wing.

    1. Personally I have no problem with the cards at all. Being a borderless card (I think) that is standard and/or slightly bigger than an average tarot size I love how they read. I def have decks that are WAY too detailed even for me! Feel free to check out the walk thru of the deck on my YouTube and see what you think!
