Exploring Kansas City during Quarantine

Today we are getting out of the Squirrel Nest and hitting the streets of Kansas City! Taking advantage of our time, getting out to get some fresh air and documenting some of the beauty we find in the empty city.

From growing up loving watching dystopian movies and reading books there is something about all this that feels a little unnerving. Walking the streets of these once densely populated areas that are now basically abandoned…the silence is really beautiful! It’s really grounding to connect to the Earth and enjoying the area without all the people. I hear more birds than I do cars…it’s rather peaceful!

Despite all of the bad going on, there’s always good if you just look for it! I know things are not the same but its not going to be this way forever. Although the majority of things are closed, there’s beauty all around if we just take the time to look for it! Take care of yourself and your loved ones! Much love and light!
