I’m here to share with you my favorite tarot books of all time π These books have helped me with my learning of the tarot and wanted to share just in case they could help you on your journey with tarot!

The Ultimate Guide to tarot was my first ever tarot book which I would HIGHLY recommend for beginners!
This super easy to read, full color guide, is a general read giving quick insight into card imagery and meanings. With bullet point keywords as well to give readers easy access to understanding the tarot cards in a basic way.

The Holistic Tarot is like the Encyclopedia of Tarot lol. This would be on the opposite end of the spectrum and is more like that “must have” in your household for tarot research!
This DENSE book is FULL of all the things you ever wanted to know, and all the things you never knew you need to know about tarot. I may be wrong, but for me this is NOT the book to just sit and read cover to cover, it’s more of a refer to it when you need some more in depth understanding.

Around the Tarot in 78 Days was a book recommended by one of my followers…
This is more of an intermediate style book and definitely goes a little more in depth with the card meanings without being overwhelming.
I like this book because it studies the court cards in an interesting way (which I still somewhat struggle with learning). It also gives study prompts on how you can work with your cards and really gives more in depth meaning to the cards without doing so in an intimidating way!

The Ultimate Guide to the Rider Waite Tarot is one of my new favorite tarot books! This for sure is an EASY to read and understand book that strictly focuses on the symbolism within the cards.
With 2 page descriptors for each of the cards it points out people, animals, objects, colors, etc. within the card and then explains why it is in the card and how that relates to the meaning.
I personally enjoy this because it gives a new layer to my understanding of the cards in such a unique and fun way that is simple to follow along π

Fresh off the presses is the newly released Truly Easy Tarot by Mantis. Before I can even get into the book I have to talk about the amazing tactile experience you have with the book…
The book cover is a smooth matte finish that feels SO buttery and SO nice! Plus… it smells good too π
Of any of the books this is full of special made tarot spreads! There’s roughly 40 pages of different tarot spreads that you can connect with! I like that there is 2 pages of descriptions per card that are simple to understand and fun to read! Fully colored and highlighted sections to make it easy to follow along!
What are some of your favorite tarot books? Comment down below and share with the rest of the Squirrel Nest so we can all learn and grow together π
…and until next time… Much love and light !!!

Loved this! Another excellent book about Tarot is: Tarot Made Easy, by Nancy Garen. This is my go to book for giving readings to my family and friends. I’ve used it so much that it’s falling apart. I even have the pages tabbed for my convenience. π
