If you have time on your hands and don’t know what to do with random crafty items around your house why not make a magic wand !?!? Literally, why not ?!? lol
They’re fun and simple to do not requiring many supplies, pretty inexpensive and fun to make!

First we’ll need to forage for some supplies! If your a crafty Squirrel at heart you probably have most of these lying around the house anyways. But, just in case your not I’ve linked the products down below for you to order them if you’d like to try this at home! Or feel free to stop in any big box store or your local small business and pick up these items relatively easily!
You’ll need:
That’s it š Of course you can tailor the project to your needs so feel free to add things like glitter, or glittery string, or a lock of hair from your worst enemy, or why not more glitter?

I lucked out as I discovered in our new city there is a giant non profit craft store! All items are donated to this WAREHOUSE FILLED with crafts (aimed mostly for teachers) but open to anyone to be able to fill anyone’s crafting needs… all of my supplies for this cost less than $15 and I got to pick a variety of options including the types of marbles for the wand which we’ll get to later! Let me know if you have a fun place like this in your area as this is a new and lovely discovery for me!
I’m talking ANYTHING you could dream of! Containers of toilet paper rolls. Barrels of paper clips. Walls of buttons, bottle caps and corks. Painting supplies, sewing supplies, gifting supplies, wood working supplies and so much more! Do you have something like this in your area !? Because I have never seen anything like it!
Ok…on with the show…

The next few steps are SO simple I’m not going to break it down and drag it on. Your an adult that “gets it”
Listen… take your hot glue gun and glue the marble of the choice to the stick. Then take the glue and glue all over the stick in any pattern you want. This will give the wand depth and dimension. Do swirls, do drip down, do the whole wand or half whatever you dream of it’s your craft project!
My friend even glued two sticks together and made her wand thicker! Glue several marbles to it, make it yours! Then once you have your wands all glued up then go to town painting the sucker!
Personally I used acrylic paint as you not only get some vibrant colors that paint on well, but it’s water based so it washes off easily! Because believe-you-me you WILL get paint all over your hands lol

Take these suckers outside and spray them with some spray paint to add some depth and some bling to them! I had some silver, gold, and glitter spray paint (left over from the CHRISTMAS DECOR PROJECT that I did) so we blinged these bad boys up and made them look “official” š
Some after-thought decor ideas we COULD have done was to prehaps add some sparkly string or ribbon to these? Maybe incorporate a strand of hair from your enemy? I don’t know lol… I’m sure there’s ALL kinds of fun things you can do with this to personalize your wand! How do you think you would make yours differently?
What a fun idea!
There’s a craft store like that in my area, too. I’ve never been, but many of my friends go. They take donations only and all the proceeds go to a charity, which I can’t remember at the moment. As an avid knitter and crafter, I should make a trip over there. (I’ve finally gone through most of my supplies so I can justify buying more.)

Totally! I don’t sew a whole lot, mostly because I’m not very skilled yet, but their fabric selection is supposed to be amazing! Also, a great way to get buttons and zippers and stuff like that. I knit lots of sweaters and the buttons cost almost as much as the yarn to make the whole thing!
Looking forward to your next crafty idea! š
