Hey Baby Squirrel and welcome back to the Squirrel Nest π If this is your first time here then get cozy, get comfy…would you like a cocktail? π I have been working through my creative tarot journal as fast as humanly possible! As much as I would love to continue to work ahead at a faster pace I am making a sacrifice by also taking the time to film/vlog/blog/all the things about the journey along the way…
The reality is it takes MUCH longer to do all of the things, than it actually does to just sit down 1-on-1 with the journal and get creative. For those content creators out there you know EXACTLY what I mean. Heck, the time it takes just to set up and clean up alone feels like a lot of work somedays lol

If you follow my INSTAGRAM stories you’ve already seen little fun nuggets like this picture… One cannot simply just get out supplies and start working! O no, no no…the supplies have to be placed accordingly because we also need to set up the camera and camera stand. And who cares how uncomfortable I am in this position, if this is what looks right on camera then that’s what were going with lol
Don’t forget after filming we still need to clean-up and get the apartment back to “normal.” There’s still editing to do, music selection, uploading etc….
O YEA…. and a blog to write! Forgot to get pictures yesterday? Guess what I’m doing today….? lol
All in all I would LOVE to be further ahead in my journal BUT, like I said…I am choosing to sacrifice my speed so I can bring you all this fun stuff that HOPEFULLY you enjoy π
Before we get too far deep if your new here or just want a reminder I want to make you aware this is the 4th installment in the process of working through the journal. If you wish to refresh your memory or even read for the first time below I will link the earlier blogs…
All caught up? GREAT π Let’s get started….

One thing suggested by several of my amazing followers: Try using different textiles. So, I did π My partner and I found a local thrift craft store! (aka craft Heaven) I was able to pick up several types of tissue paper and figured I’d give it a whirl!
And yes…you read that right…I love getting feedback from YOU to help me with creative projects! It’s fun working together to create something awesome! But… I’ll talk more about that later…
In the meantime, working with Mod Podge and Tissue paper in a journal is a new venture for me. A messy venture. lol but fun! I love the 3D textured aspect that playing with this powerful combo provides! I’ll continue to play around with it some more!

One of my favorite pages I worked on was the Judgement card for a few reasons…
I had fun playing around with this particular patterned paper. Specifically taking advantage of the symmetry and making it look more aesthetically pleasing (in my opinion).
Another layer of this was the educational part of the Judgement card. It’s one card that I’m not sure I’ve ever fully grasped. Through some specific research digging I was able to read more into the meaning behind the card and imagery which made it make more sense.
Do you ever do that? Take a day to spend on a card, reading, doing research, writing about it? Whatever it takes to dive further into it’s message in order to learn and understand as much as you can? What are your tips and tricks to doing this?
As always I invite you all to check out the video that I also work very hard on creating in order to provide a visual and audio sense of entertainment to invigorate the senses and inspire the Soul. Just as in the video I do ask followers to contribute their ideas…
We are finally finished with the Majors and it’s time to move into the Minors. Realistically I do NOT want to be taking a whole page, or two, for just one card for the minors. Not that it’s not possible, I just don’t want to do that quite frankly lol. So I’m interested in your suggestion on how to move forward in the journal with the minors…
Group the numbers together? Group the suits together? Group court cards? Skip the minors all together and start going into numerology and card symbolism before getting into the minors? What are your thoughts on what should be done next in the journal…. I love hearing your creative ideas π
And always always… click below to watch the video π Much love Baby Squirrel and thanks for being you! You are appreciated and loved π
Your Journal is amazing it has inspired several of my readers.
